This was created as cover art for a story I wrote called “Malama Island”. The Sigil was embossed in a clay sculpture based on the true heart cockle (Corculum cardissa), a favorite sea shell of mine from our family collection since childhood. The story is founded in part on some popular ideas and factual knowledge about the star Sirius.
