I’m a retired artist who has worked as a fine artist and illustrator since 1976. My formal education was focused on the life sciences and art. I developed technical skill with the airbrush during this time and it became a primary creative tool for many years. My introduction to computer art began in 1985 and I still use it regularly for creating photo based art and AI image editing. In 2010 I decided to give writing a try resulting in my recently published novel “Malama Island”.

This website is a showcase for selections of art created out of personal desire apart from commercial assignment work. There is no doubt that certain choices of subject matter and style may resonate with larger audiences while appealing to me as well but I don’t confine myself to those considerations.
